Hello to everyone from the class of 1982! I sure hope you are doing well! I just can't believe it is going to be 20 years since we all left Monroe! It really doesn't seem that long ago, does it? Or is it just me? Perfecting the art of ditching remains so fresh in memory somehow (usually done to line up outside Tower Records on Van Nuys for concert tickets!) I have not lived in the valley for many years now, and I miss those Tommy's Burgers like you would not believe! (but maybe not the inevitable heartburn!) Does anyone know if Mr Bernie Feuerman (sp?) is still teaching journalism at Monroe? I owe him so much for steering me toward a career I truly love.. Please let me know if you do! I just started graduate school at Columbia University in New York City. I was here three weeks when the tragedy occured at the World Trade Center. First, I hope all Monroe Alumni are safe. Luckily, California is removed from the epicenter of the terror that struck this nation on September 11, 2001. However, many of us lived through the Northridge earthquake and LA "Civil Disobidience," so we know how helpless one can feel when their personal world is disrupted by something no one can control. I have truely been affected in a very personal way by the events of last Tuesday. When I turn off my TV, I can hear the struggles of New York City outside my window. My friends are safe, but many of my school peers are not. Please find time in your day to pray for these people. I am fortunate, I am OK. However, several students and alumni at Columbia lost someone dear to them or even lost thier own lives. I am scared to be here but proud to be an American. To all my friends, please be careful and stay safe. Enjoy your freedoms because this country is going to change profoundly and life as an American will never be the same.

(Class of '76) It was great to see everyone that attended the reunion. It was almost like we never parted 25 years ago. No one has really changed accept for the number of years that has passed. I look forward to hearing and seeing everyone in the future. Let's not wait until the next reunion. We had the best high school around. It was an extended family. Especially enjoyed seeing and meeting people that I really didn't have any type of connection with during school. That was my loss during those times. I apologize for not being able to meet all at the reunion. Time went by so fast. Hopefully had the next reunion, I'll meet more of my fellow students. Sadly, I was informed today that Arn Sorgatz, Class of 1973 passed away yesterday. He was Arn's best friend and also a member of the Class of 1973. (Bill passed away in 1993). Sad to see so many from MY class also gone...(class of 1975). Arn and Billy were my high-school honeys......

Hey class of 81' I don't know who all remembers me but I recognize alot of names. Boy how time flies. I did'nt get to graduate at Monroe because we moved but did have a good time while going there.
